Chiropractic
Chiropractic is a healthcare discipline that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine. Chiropractors use hands-on spinal manipulation and other alternative treatments to align the body's musculoskeletal structure, especially the spine, to enable the body to heal itself without surgery or medication. This manipulation restores mobility to joints restricted by tissue injury caused by a traumatic event, such as falling, or repetitive stress, such as sitting without proper back support.
Chiropractic care is primarily used as a pain relief alternative for muscles, joints, bones, and connective tissue, such as cartilage, ligaments, and tendons. It is sometimes used in conjunction with conventional medical treatment. Chiropractors may also provide nutritional, dietary, and lifestyle counseling to support overall health and well-being. By addressing the root causes of pain and dysfunction, chiropractic care aims to improve patients' quality of life and promote long-term health.
